Job summary

Innoflight in San Diego seeks a Hardware Integration & Test Engineer III to lead validation across aerospace programs, develop test strategies, design test fixtures, and collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams.

You will ensure performance, reliability, and program requirements while continuously improving test capabilities and documenting results. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are required, plus the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hardware integration and testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and environmental test chambers.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot CCAs.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and identify testable requirements; create detailed test plans to validate functionality, performance, and system behavior.
• Author verification and acceptance procedures to support development, qualification, and production testing.
• Design test infrastructure including fixtures, cables, interfaces, and custom setups for new hardware products.
• Lead failure investigations, debug hardware and software test setups, identify root causes, and present findings during Test Review Boards.
• Support integration and system testing with hardware and software teams for complex troubleshooting.
• Improve test effectiveness by aligning test infrastructure with product requirements and collaborating with manufacturing.
