Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to design and bring up complex PCBA hardware for advanced antenna systems used in space. You will own hardware blocks, develop prototypes, and lead test campaigns with cross-functional teams.

Based in San Diego, you will work on RF circuits, high-speed SERDES, power integrity, and PCB layout with a focus on reliability, manufacturability, and space-grade quality. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with RF, systems, and software teams to

Qualifications

BS degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experience.
7+ years of industrial experience in board level analog/digital design.
3+ years in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity.
2+ years using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize the hardware blocks that make up complex electronic systems.
Develop proof-of-concept systems and prototypes for the next generation of electronic hardware.
Implement RF circuits on PCB in collaboration with the RF team.
Design automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test processes.
Lead bring-up and test campaigns for hardware integrating active antennas.
Lead and review PCB layout.
