Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in San Diego seeks a Senior HW Dev Engineer to design PCBA hardware for advanced antenna systems, including RF circuitry and high-speed SERDES. You will own hardware blocks and collaborate with RF and test teams to bring concepts to production.

The role requires 7+ years in board-level analog/digital design, a BS in EE or CE, experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence, and hands-on lab skills.

Qualifications

• Developing functional specs, design verification plans and test procedures.
• BS degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in board-level analog/digital design.
• 3+ years in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity.
• 2+ years using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize hardware blocks for complex electronic systems.
• Develop proof-of-concept systems and prototypes for next-gen hardware.
• Implement RF circuits on PCB in collaboration with RF team.
• Design automated test systems, test fixtures and production test processes.
• Lead bring-up and test campaigns for hardware with active antennas.
• Lead and review PCB layout.
