Job summary

Employee Relations Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to join a highly technical team building the next generation of satellite modem hardware.

The role involves taking complex designs from concept through testing, bring-up, and production with close collaboration across FPGA, RF, software, and systems engineers. You will own hardware development lifecycle activities including schematic design, PCB layout, and SI/PI analyses, and will work with high-speed interfaces,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware design experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience designing communications systems and digital hardware.
• Hands-on experience with FPGAs and circuit design.
• Experience with memory (DDR/LPDDR, Flash, SPI NOR, eMMC).
• Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNA, logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document next-generation hardware for satellite modems and related products.
• Develop FPGA-based satellite modem designs integrated on PCBs.
• Own key aspects of the hardware development lifecycle: schematic design and PCB layout; SI/PI analysis; board bring-up, testing and debugging.
• Work with high-speed digital interfaces, memory, clocks, power distribution, and communications hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and multidisciplinary teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Help drive designs from initial concept through successful testing and implementation.
