Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks an experienced electrical engineer to develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for PCIe and USB products, and to provide drivers for Linux, Windows, RTOS, and MacOS.

You will plan development and maintenance across Windows, Linux, RTOS and MacOS, create application notes, data sheets, and reference designs, and deliver technical trainings to customers and field engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years experience.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, and high-speed signaling.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART and other serial protocols.
• Strong written communication for engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and shell scripting.
• Understanding of mixed-signal electrical design and embedded software basics.
• Exposure to Linux development and developer communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for PCIe and USB products.
• Support Linux, Windows and RTOS drivers for USB/PCIe products and Ethernet bridges.
• Plan and coordinate development and maintenance for Windows, Linux, RTOS and macOS drivers.
• Create collateral like application notes, data sheets, reference designs, and other materials for new product development.
• Deliver technical trainings such as webinars and hands-on workshops to customers and field engineers.
• Provide direct technical support to sales, field engineers, and key customers.
• Collaborate with Design, Product/Test and Marketing teams.
