Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado seeks a Hardware Engineer to support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). You will lead design, procurement, assembly, and test of complex systems for FBM, collaborating with partners to shape future hardware solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, interface with customers and suppliers, and create design docs while ensuring test readiness. US citizenship and DoD Top Secret clearance are required, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hardware development experience.
• Strong background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar systems.
• Experience with interconnect design.
• Experience with Creo, Windchill, Zuken, Pspice.
• Experience leading projects and driving items to closure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of automated test systems with data review and trending.
• Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned test systems.
• Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams for cost-effective, low-risk solutions.
• Develop test system design documentation for internal teams, vendors and customers.
• Support Failure Review Board activities through to closure.
• Travel and work at alternate sites less than 25%.
