Job summary

Runlaminar in Somerville, MA is seeking a senior hardware engineer to lead hardware development across sensor systems and field prototypes. You will design PCBs, create robust housings, and drive rapid evaluation with cross-disciplinary teams to advance our industrial sensing platforms.

You will collaborate with software and data analysis groups, implement test strategies, and push the limits of electro-mechanical integration for reliable factory-floor solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in electronics design, mechanical design, and data analysis.
• Electronics: PCB SMD/THT soldering, rework, troubleshooting, oscilloscope use, EMI design
• Mechanical design: CNC machined housings and watertight sealing

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype PCBs from sensors using KiCAD and simulate features with PSPICE.
• Design mechanical housings using SolidWorks for industrial deployments.
• Develop and implement test strategies with the Data Analysis team.
• Lead internal teams on new system design and ensure fast evaluation.
• Integrate sensors into testing platforms and field prototypes.
• Contribute to hardware engineering with design, assembly, and debugging support.
