Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Principal Hardware Instrument Engineer to design, develop, test, and oversee manufacturing of electronics for sensors and actuators used in a wide array of applications.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to shape hardware architectures and lead electronics development activities by applying sound engineering and project management principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designs new products and develops technical specifications for production.
• Analyzes hardware configuration and test solutions to ensure conformance to specs.
• Drives complex engineering solutions and mitigates technical risks across programs.
• SME capable of developing advanced architectures for electronics and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Supports business development by contributing to proposals and sponsor engagements.
