Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Hardware/Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design and integration of advanced sensor systems across Lam platforms. You will drive mechanical architectures, ensure manufacturability, and partner with electrical and firmware teams to deliver high-performance, reliable equipment intelligence solutions.

You will guide a matrixed team, influence platform strategy, and support both new product introduction and legacy system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
• Experience leading hardware/system design in complex electromechanical projects.
• Proven ability to operate in matrix organizations and align multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive mechanical architectures for advanced sensor platforms across product lines.
• Ensure designs meet reliability, safety, and environmental requirements; drive system integration.
• Lead design for manufacturability and production readiness; collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
• Coordinate hardware and firmware interfaces and ensure seamless cross-disciplinary collaboration.
