Job summary

Laminar is seeking a senior hardware engineer to advance new sensor systems. You will work with the Hardware and Embedded Systems teams to rapidly evaluate technologies, test sensing performance, and integrate prototypes for field trials.

Design PCBs with KiCAD, develop mechanical housings with SolidWorks, and implement test strategies with the Data Analysis team. We value a hands-on engineer with 5+ years in electronics or mechanical design, deep PCB/sensor experience, and Zephyr RTOS

Qualifications

5+ years of electronics design, mechanical design, and data analysis
Electronics and/or mechanical depth in PCB design, sensors, and industrial comms
Embedded system programming experience, preferably Zephyr RTOS

Responsibilities

Design and prototype PCBs from commercial and custom sensors using KiCAD and PSPICE
Design mechanical housings using SolidWorks for industrial deployment
Develop and implement test strategies with the Data Analysis team and present results
Lead internal hardware design efforts and own system-level ownership across projects
Integrate sensors to testing platforms using Zephyr RTOS
Contribute design, assembly, and debugging support across multiple projects
