Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead high-speed digital circuit design for complex CCAs, from requirements through production. You will mentor engineers, optimize SI/PI, and champion cost-effective manufacturing practices while collaborating across disciplines.

The role requires 8+ years in STEM with strong PCB expertise, and a U.S. security clearance. Onsite work in the Fort Wayne area with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in high-speed digital design for 12+ layer PCBs with DFM/DFT and controlled impedance.
  • End-to-end circuit card development from concept through production.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools (Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, Altium).
  • Hands-on SI/PI analysis using HyperLynx, ADS or SPICE.
  • STEM degree with 8+ years experience or advanced degree with 5+ years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Electronic Circuit Design: design high-speed CCAs from requirements to production.
  • Technical Mentoring: mentor hardware engineers on high-speed digital design and layout.
  • SI/PI Optimization: ensure robust signal and power integrity via modeling and validation.
  • Design Optimization: apply DTC, DFM, DFT for producible, cost-effective designs.
  • Hardware Verification & Test Support: perform integration and DVT, support qualification testing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: align with Systems, Software, and Mechanical teams and stakeholders.
