Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer II to support high-speed digital design for defense communications. You will handle circuit card development from requirements through lab verification, collaborating with engineers across disciplines on FPGA, DDR and related interfaces.

The role requires strong schematic capture and PCB layout skills, experience with SI analyses, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Onsite placement across listed facilities is possible.

Qualifications

  • Requires schematic capture of electrical designs and PCB layout using a modern tool.
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities: requirements capture, schematic, design docs, SI analysis, board stackup, routing instructions, PCB review, testing and integration.
  • Design and verify digital hardware for communication products using FPGA, processors, DDR, and interfaces (Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust hardware meeting performance specs.
  • Contribute to development and test hardware including CCAs, test fixtures, adapters, and cabling.
