Job summary

Axiado Corporation seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to drive embedded hardware development from concept to production. You will design and validate high-speed boards, capture schematics with Orcad, and collaborate across mechanical, layout, and SI teams in a fast-paced Silicon Valley environment.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of hardware experience, proficiency with PCIe and DDR4/5 interfaces, and strong debugging and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Hands-on board design knowledge including schematic capture and PCB layout with signal integrity.
• Familiarity with Cadence Orcad and Allegro tools.
• Strong knowledge of interfaces such as I2C, SMBUS, SPI, UART, USB.
• Understanding high-speed interfaces like PCIe and DDR4/5, plus Display/Network interfaces.
• Experience with DC-DC step-down converter design.
• Experience with x86/ARM servers and subsystems.
• Lab bring-up and design validation in a lab environment.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
• Desirable knowledge of firmware, Linux, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Drive product from concept to production.
• Involve in system design on embedded computing system products.
• Create hardware specifications and develop test plans.
• Capture schematics using Orcad.
• Collaborate with Layout, Mechanical, and SI engineers to complete designs.
• Bring up systems and conduct engineering validation in the lab.
• Engage with cross-functional teams for technical discussions.
• Address challenging problems and issues; manage multiple tasks.
• Lead HW builds and procurement activities.
