Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Hardware Development Manager for the One MHS team in Bellevue, WA. You will lead a cross-functional group to translate concepts into robust electro-mechanical hardware systems, managing design, prototyping, validation and production across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience.
• 10+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
• Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment.
• Experience in system-level integration.
• Experience with DFx (cost, test, manufacturing).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineers to design, prototyping, validation and production of hardware systems.
• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality for smooth product launches.
• Develop and report hardware team performance metrics to peers and executives.
• Recruit and develop top engineering talent; raise performance standards.
• Manage multiple teams and managers to meet deliverables.
• Maintain clear communications with cross-functional teams and partners.
• Drive new product development programs from concept to production.
