Job summary

F5 Networks is seeking an accomplished Sr Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced hardware solutions for high-performance electronic systems.

You will drive system-level hardware design from concept through production release, mentor engineers, and influence architecture decisions across projects.

The role requires deep expertise in high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal design, Verilog, and signal integrity, with proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design for high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal systems.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and hardware design tools (Cadence, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal considerations.
• Verilog HDL programming for CPLD design.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level hardware design for new products, including architecture definition and requirements.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to define system requirements and functional specs.
• Drive design for manufacturability, testability, and reliability across development phases.
• Oversee and mentor engineers, reviewing work for quality and efficiency.
• Develop schedules and maintain documentation and testing plans.
• Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners for validation and issue resolution.
• Author and implement CPLD designs using Verilog HDL as needed.
• Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement of processes.
