Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Sr Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced hardware solutions for high-performance electronic systems.

You will drive architecture, define specifications, and mentor the hardware team from concept through production release. As a technical leader, you will shape system requirements, ensure design for manufacturability, and collaborate across disciplines while interfacing with suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design for high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal systems.
• Proficiency with Cadence, Altium, and Mentor Graphics for schematic capture.
• Verilog HDL experience for CPLD design.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level hardware design for new products, including architecture definition, functional specifications, and requirements development.
• Define system requirements and author functional specifications for hardware subsystems.
• Drive design for manufacturability, testability, and reliability across all phases of development.
• Oversee and mentor engineers, providing technical guidance and reviewing work to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners for validation and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain schedules for deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality documentation and testing.
