Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Hardware Design in Austin, TX, to lead cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality hardware solutions. You will drive multi-domain projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and vendors to meet demanding requirements.

The role focuses on PCB design, high-speed layouts, and ensuring manufacturability and reliability across products, with emphasis on DDR5, PCIe Gen5, and 100GbE capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware design experience.
• Expert in PCB design using Cadence Allegro.
• Experience with high-density PCBs up to 28 layers and high-speed layout.
• Ability to lead a large engineering team and coordinate with cross-functional groups.
• Knowledge of DDR5, 100GbE, PCIe Gen5, and 56G SERDES.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of solutions for complex multi-domain projects, including deployment planning.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a large team of engineers and analyze complex systems.
• Interpret customer requirements and serve as primary contact; manage vendor relationships.
• Research and design improvements to meet customer and Celestica needs; solve complex problems and ensure compliance with standards.
• Create, modify, and improve PCB designs using CAD tools; participate in planning, scheduling, and design reviews.
• Support projects through manufacturing and ensure alignment across functions from design to production.
• Stay updated on industry knowledge and regulations to keep designs compliant.
