Job summary

Pure Storage, Inc. is seeking an experienced hardware validation engineer to debug hardware and system issues, lead validation of new drive designs, and ensure interoperability in customer environments.

You will perform board-level measurements, thermal testing, and 4-corner tests while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires a strong background in PCIe, DDR, NAND, SPI, I2C, and hands-on lab skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hardware/system validation and debug.
• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (M.S. a plus).
• Python and Bash scripting experience.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, VNA, protocol analyzer, power load/analyzer, current probes, soldering rework.
• Understanding of PCIe, DDR, NAND, SPI, I2C protocols.
• Experience with enterprise storage/server systems is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Debug hardware and system-level issues.
• Lead hardware and mechanical validation of new drive designs, including board-level measurements and thermal testing.
• Support interoperability and debugging of Pure Storage devices in customer systems.
• Analyze and document test results.
• Perform failure/root cause analysis for field issues and defects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
