Job summary

SK hynix memory solutions America Inc. is seeking a Staff/Senior/Principal eSSD Validation Engineer in San Jose to lead validation efforts for PCIe NVMe enterprise SSDs.

You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, collaborate across SOC, FW, and HW, and drive issue resolution to ensure design specifications and customer requirements are met. The role requires 5+ years in enterprise storage or semiconductors, with strong skills in PCIe, NVMe, Python, C/C++, and test automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise storage or semiconductor experience.
• Experience with physical protocol analyzers and trace evaluation tools.
• Mastery of low-level storage protocols including PCIe, NVMe, SMBus/I2C.
• Python/C/C++ for hardware test automation and interacting with PCIe/firmware registers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to design, implement and execute comprehensive test plans for PCIe and NVMe eSSDs.
• Manage test plans, oversee testing progress, identify issues and report findings.
• Triage failures and collaborate with SOC, FW, and HW to resolve issues.
• Perform test gap analysis for reliability and integration.
• Coordinate with FAE/CAE to address customer inquiries and debug issues.
• Foster open communication to improve product quality.
