Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. Beverly, MA site seeks a senior hardware leader to own system architecture from schematic to fielded product for precision timing devices.

You will guide embedded controllers, RF/microwave subsystems, and data converters while mentoring engineers and shaping validation strategies. You will collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to meet regulatory standards, review designs, and define customer requirements, driving design excellence

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years leading hardware or embedded system design with products brought to market.
• Strong experience in analysis, simulation, and implementation of embedded control systems, data converters, RF/microwave circuits, and analog/digital filters.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex hardware including embedded controllers and RF/microwave subsystems.
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers across the team.
• Own validation strategy, including test, debug, and root-cause analysis through production.
• Partner with firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver products.
• Review and approve schematics, layouts, and design documentation.
• Ensure designs meet industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Work directly with customers to define requirements and solve technical problems.
• Continuously improve design methods, tools, and processes.
