Job summary

Gigamon seeks a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead system and board-level architecture for networking products. You will design and develop board-level circuits, high-speed interfaces, power distribution, and signal integrity while ensuring manufacturability and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams, drive design reviews, and deliver hardware from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years designing networking hardware or related systems.
• Strong expertise in system and hardware architecture and PCB design.
• Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and signal integrity.
• Experience with high-speed digital/analog hardware and transceivers.

Responsibilities

• Define system and board-level architectures and high-level concepts.
• Design and develop board-level circuits across digital and analog tech.
• Apply signal integrity to guide design decisions for high-speed systems.
• Lead design reviews, simulations, and PCB design-rule development.
• Collaborate with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive hardware development across projects.
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, validation, and production transfer.
