Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead architecture and design for next‑generation networking platforms, including routers and switches with up to 800G interfaces. You will drive preprocessing, validation, and product integration with software, PCB, mechanical, and validation teams.

You will own docking of complex subsystems (SoCs, memory, FPGAs, GPUs, PCIe) and ensure SI/PI compliance, perform thermal analysis, and guide product release through manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network hardware engineering.
• Experience in hardware architecture and product development for routers and switches.
• Design and analysis of high-speed digital interfaces (DDR, SERDES, PCIe).
• Hands-on PCB stack-up development and signal/power integrity analysis.
• Strong collaboration across software, PCB, mechanical, and validation teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware architecture, requirements analysis, schematic development, and design reviews for routers and high‑performance networking platforms.
• Design and integrate complex subsystems including processors, memory, FPGAs, GPUs, network ASICs, PCIe switches, and power management.
• Define PCB stack-ups and architectures to meet SI, PI, and thermal requirements.
• Perform pre-layout and post-layout SI analyses (SERDES, DDR, eye diagrams, crosstalk).
• Execute PI and thermal analyses, identify hotspots, and evaluate cooling solutions.
• Lead board bring‑up, debugging, validation, and testing across the lifecycle.
