Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of HM or comparable Occupational or Physical Therapy Residency program, or three years of experience as a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• Licensure in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy and BLS; CHT certification

Responsibilities

• Performs complete and comprehensive evaluation of patients across a broad range of hand and upper extremity diagnoses to identify function and determine the treatment plan.
• Develops and implements the hand and upper extremity treatment plan.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; serves as resource to colleagues in best practice.
• Acts as preceptor and mentor to less experienced hand therapists and may supervise OTAs, PTAs, and technicians.
