Job summary

Cypress Physical Therapy seeks an energetic Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our team in providing specialized hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. The role requires a current OT license, a CHT designation, and at least two years of hand therapy experience.

Qualifications

• CHT designation required.
• Minimum 2 years hand and upper extremity rehab experience.
• Proficiency in fabricating custom orthotics and splints.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Current state OT licensure and OT degree.

Responsibilities

• Assess hand and upper extremity function.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Use exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve ROM and strength.
• Educate patients and families on prevention and home exercise.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Fabricate and fit orthotics and splints.
• Provide pre/post-surgical education and rehab.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain certification.
• Mentor and train other therapists.
