Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Wisconsin is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical expertise across the manufacturing process, optimize production, train teams, and support new product introductions. The role focuses on manufacturability, standards compliance, and continuous improvement across projects.

You will lead continuous improvement activities, mentor project teams, and ensure production efficiency while meeting quality targets and schedules. Strong IPC, SMT, and PTH rework skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 or more years of related experience preferred.
• Experience as SME in Hand Solder & Rework of PCBA’s.
• Knowledge of IPC-7711/7721, IPC J-STD-001 (Space/Military Addendum) and IPC-A-610.
• Ability to define standards, select tooling, and architect rework processes.
• Expertise in manual reworking of SMT & PTH and complex components.
• Experience with semi-automated, robotic, and laser soldering processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships with teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Regarded as a technical specialist and mentor within Manufacturing; lead cross-discipline teams.
• Lead technical guidance and training; manage scope, schedule, and budgets for Plexus processes.
• Lead continuous improvement activities within engineering discipline and project tools.
• Provide customer service leadership in project discussions, continuity, and new proposals.
