The role focuses on infection prevention, outbreak response, surveillance, and antimicrobial stewardship across the state, with leadership responsibilities and collaboration with healthcare partners.

The candidate will analyze surveillance data, guide performance improvements, and support program development while traveling limitedly within Maine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical or healthcare-related field.
• Five+ years of Infection Prevention and Control experience.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
• Eligible for US federal Level 1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in HAIs, AR, IPC, QA and performance improvement.
• Lead outbreak investigations in healthcare settings.
• Analyze HAI/AR surveillance data and prepare reports.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
• Train and mentor program staff on IPC practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare facilities and public health partners.
