Job description

Senior Guidewire Developer - PolicyCenter

As our Guidewire Developer, you will utilize various tools to enhance and troubleshoot our Guidewire software, focusing on PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, as we transition multiple markets to the Guidewire system.

What You’ll Do

1. Work on sprint stories within a 2-week Agile framework, primarily coding in Gosu using Studio, a customized version of IntelliJ.
2. Develop features involving UI changes, message queues, web service integrations, page configuration modifications, and unit tests with Guidewire’s testing framework.
3. Support testing efforts by designing and executing testing plans.
4. Participate in code reviews and present your work during sprint reviews to team members and stakeholders, including large audiences.

What You’ll Need

1. Experience with Guidewire, especially PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, including integration and configuration tasks.
2. Proficiency in Java, Javascript, SQL, Gosu, IntelliJ, and Studio; experience with Mulesoft, React, or Node.js is a plus.
3. Desired experience with APD framework, Integration framework, and Mulesoft.
4. Experience working in a production environment, including on-call troubleshooting, bug fixing, and log analysis.
5. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, daily standups, and sprint-based project completion.
6. Understanding of web services such as SOAP and REST, and tools like Postman.
7. Comfortable presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences, including groups of 20 or more.
