As a mutual company, our people are our priority. We offer a starting salary between $82,778 - $142,773, depending on experience, plus annual variable incentives, and potential commission opportunities for customer-facing roles.

This role is remote within the United States and does not offer visa sponsorship. The posting closes on June 28th, 2025.

Position Summary

We seek an IT Developer/Software Engineer to perform technical design, development, testing, and implementation of complex IT solutions, including expertise in Guidewire’s PolicyCenter application. Open to mid- to senior-level candidates; entry-level is not eligible.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver software meeting standards and performance expectations.
  • Track, report, and address issues and patterns affecting quality and user acceptance.
  • Understand business processes, workflows, and core applications.
  • Apply Agile development practices and continuous integration/delivery standards.
  • Follow secure coding policies and practices.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members.
  • Champion organizational change initiatives.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices.
  • Seek challenging assignments to add value and apply learnings.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve development processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience, or equivalent.
  • Java development experience and understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with Java frameworks like Spring.
  • Experience with source code management tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Guidewire Associate Certification within 3 months (training provided).
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate challenges effectively.
  • Capable of independent research and problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of cross-team impacts.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
  • Guidewire certifications (Associate & Lead/ACE).
  • Experience with Guidewire Rating and Cloud Platform.
  • AWS experience.
