Apex Systems is looking for a Guidewire Portal Developer to work for a Big 4 Accounting firm with an insurance client outside of Lansing, MI. This role will be remote until further notice due to the COVID19 outbreak.

Job Description

Portal Development for Guidewire. Coding, Unit testing, resolving technical issues, & configuring Portal based on defined business requirements & sprint stories. Prior GW Portal experience is required

About The Role

• You will be providing enhancements and support for a client impllementing the full Suite of Guidewire products
• You'll be a part of a robust team of onshore and offshore staff, and client resources who all specialize in Guidewire development & maintenance
• You will assist clients by identifying and driving technical solutions to problems and business needs
  
  

A successful candidate in this role will have the following qualities and experiences:

• Good business communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Guidewire Suite / Guidewire Portal development experience is desirable
• Willing to travel to the customers locations on need basis
• Demonstrates considerable knowledge in projects related to and/or leveraging GW Portal and systems configurations within the Insurance industry
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team including on-site and remote team members with a mixed environment including company and vendor team members / Must have worked in agile teams
• Proven code management abilities including design reviews, pattern identification and application, adherence to coding standards, code reviews
• Experience with at least one of the following, though Portal is preferred: Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimCenter, Guidewire BillingCenter, or Guidewire ContactManager
