Job Overview

Remote position with travel up to 25% to NJ and NY locations.

Position Summary

Senior Guidewire Developer with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and evaluating complex software for Guidewire Policy Center, Claims Center, and Billing Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit test solutions using Guidewire tools for Cloud implementation.
• Experience in Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration development within a larger team.
• Manage scope, estimate work, build plans, and track progress.
• Communicate effectively with onsite/offshore teams and clients to deliver user stories.
• Propose and estimate integration solutions, including Batch Processes, Message Queues, and Event Messaging.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to complete project activities.
• Develop integration solutions and establish automated testing procedures.
• Ensure successful completion of user stories per sprint.
• Adhere to industry standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• At least 5 years of experience with Guidewire Policy Center, including full product implementation.
• Guidewire Policy Center configuration certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Guidewire tools, Batch, and plugins.
• At least 6 years in Property & Casualty insurance domain.
• Minimum 5 years of Java development experience.
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Git, Bitbucket.
• 2+ years of experience with Guidewire APIs, GX Model, and Product Models.
• Strong knowledge of Guidewire integration concepts: Batch, Message Queues, Event Processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Skills

• Strong Configuration and Integration skills (v10.0+).
• Familiarity with GOSU, PCF, XML, Product Model, Forms Inference.
• Understanding of Guidewire platform components.
• Solid Java, XML, SQL skills.
• Experience with RDBMS like Oracle or SQL Server.
• Knowledge of modern architectures, design patterns, SDLC methodologies (including Agile).
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of secure software development practices.
• Preferred: Tomcat/WebSphere, JEE frameworks, Rating experience.

Compensation

Salary range: $101,900 - $193,700. Total compensation may include bonuses and other benefits.
