Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the reliability of GTM data, building pipelines, transformations, and data models turning CRM, marketing, and product usage data into reporting and forecasting infrastructure for Sales, Marketing, and RevOps.

You'll collaborate with GTM stakeholders to ensure metrics are accurate, set technical direction, and raise engineering standards for the data team. The role offers ownership and opportunities to mentor others.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related field with ownership of production data pipelines end-to-end.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with production-grade, testable code.
• Hands-on experience with dbt (or comparable framework), dimensional/data modeling, and modern ELT/ETL workflows including orchestration tooling (Airflow, Dagster).
• Direct experience with GTM data: CRM data models, pipeline and revenue reporting, sales/marketing attribution.
• Proven ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, RevOps) translating business questions into technical specs and durable data models.
• Strong communication skills; able to present trade-offs and drive alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own pipelines that bring GTM source systems (CRM, marketing automation, outbound tooling, product usage) into the warehouse reliably.
• Diagnose and resolve data quality and freshness issues at the source.
• Design and maintain dbt models turning raw GTM data into clean datasets (pipeline, revenue, attribution, funnel).
• Set testing/documentation standards so models are trustworthy and extensible.
• Build datasets and semantic models powering dashboards and reports for Sales, Marketing, RevOps leadership.
• Reduce reliance on one-off requests by enabling self-service.
