Job summary

Vercel in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own GTM data pipelines and the reliability of our data assets. You will build and maintain pipelines, transformations, and data models turning CRM, marketing, and product usage data into reporting and forecasting infrastructure for Sales, Marketing, and RevOps.

You will collaborate with GTM stakeholders to ensure metrics are correct, set technical direction, and mentor others to raise the engineering bar for GTM data.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, owning end-to-end pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python; production-grade, testable code.
• Hands-on dbt and dimensional/data modeling; modern ELT/ETL workflows including orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster).
• Direct experience with GTM data: CRM data models, pipeline and revenue reporting, attribution.

Responsibilities

• Own pipelines bringing GTM source systems (CRM, marketing, outbound tooling, product usage) into the warehouse.
• Diagnose and resolve data quality and freshness issues at the source.
• Design and maintain dbt models for pipeline, revenue, attribution, and funnel metrics.
• Set testing and documentation standards for trustworthy models.
• Build datasets and semantic models powering dashboards for Sales, Marketing, RevOps.
• Reduce one-off requests by designing for self-service.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to align on data needs.
• Spot bad metrics with business context before they ship.
• Elevate engineering standards through code reviews; mentor engineers.
