Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. in Long Beach is seeking a GTAW welder to join the Fluids Factory, collaborating with weld development and engineering teams to weld aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and more. You’ll own parts from start to finish, load tooling, perform dimensional checks, and help drive process improvements on the shop floor.

You should have 3+ years of GTAW welding experience, be capable of precise prep and joint fitting, and work safely at heights. Familiarity with NDE is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years performing GTAW welding in materials such as Stainless Steel, Inconel, Aluminum, and/or Titanium.
• Proficient in material preparation and joint fitting for welding.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to follow work instructions and part drawings.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Comfortable with measuring and cutting tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the weld development and engineering teams to develop and perform GTAW weld processes for aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel.
• Prepare tooling and parts by trimming, beveling, cleaning, aligning, assembling, and tack welding; load/unload tooling.
• Perform dimensional inspections and prepare parts for non-destructive evaluation (NDE).
• Own parts from start to finish and resolve manufacturing issues with the team.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, precision, and right-first-time.
