Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a skilled GTAW welder to join the Fluids Factory. You will weld aluminum, stainless steel and Inconel, load and unload tooling with cranes or forklifts, and perform dimensional checks to ensure quality.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, improve processes, and uphold safety and first-pass quality while supporting a 50-hour workweek with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years performing GTAW welding in stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum, or titanium.
• Proficient in material preparation and joint fitting for welding.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to follow work instructions and drawings.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Able to measure and cut materials.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with weld development and engineering teams to develop GTAW weld processes for aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel.
• Prepare tooling and parts, load/unload using cranes or forklifts, perform dimensional inspections and NDE readiness.
• Identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing process in collaboration with engineering to implement improvements.
• Work with teammates to build a culture of safety, precision, and first-time quality.
• Support and foster an inclusive environment for all team members.
• Assist in setting up and optimizing the production shop floor following 5S principles.
