Job summary

Merchants Capital is seeking a Senior Closer, GSE to lead the multifamily loan closing lifecycle from onboarding through settlement. You will coordinate with originations, underwriting, legal, servicing, and agency partners to ensure timely, compliant execution of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac transactions, while maintaining client service and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Manage a portfolio of multifamily loan transactions from onboarding to through funding, agency delivery, and final settlement/purchase.
• Monitor and apply current Agency guidance and forms for assigned transactions (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac).
• Oversee closing process with external/internal partners through the transaction lifecycle.
• Coordinate rate lock activities and submit agency documentation including Fannie Mae C&D submissions.
• Review underwriting and credit packages to align closing requirements with agency execution.
• Collaborate with under­writing, originations, legal, servicing, asset management, and agency partners to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage closing lifecycle from onboarding to settlement/purchase for multifamily loans.
• Coordinate with borrowers, counsel, title companies, and agency representatives to ensure compliant execution.
• Maintain records, closing schedules, and reporting tools for pipeline and delivery tracking.
