Job summary

Morningstar Investment Management seeks a seasoned Portfolio Manager for a U.S. growth equity strategy. The role oversees high-conviction, 25–50 stock portfolios within a multi-billion AUA framework and reports to the Select Equities team.

Chicago is preferred, but applicants from other locations in the U.S. are welcome. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in investments (buyside), strong growth equity experience, CFA preferred, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional investment experience on the buy side preferred
• Experience as portfolio manager and/or growth company analysis is highly desired
• Strong alignment with Morningstar's equity investing philosophy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and curiosity to learn

Responsibilities

• Serve as portfolio manager for a growth-focused equity strategy and manage company valuation and portfolio risk
• Contribute to overall research and portfolio management efforts of the team
• Participate in peer-review processes and provide feedback on prospective trades and positioning
• Communicate with clients through quarterly commentaries, webinars, and meetings with financial advisors
