Morningstar Investment Management, LLC is seeking a Director of Equity Research to lead the MAR team in producing world-class proprietary equity research. The role is based in Chicago or London, reporting to the Head of Multi-Asset Research, and focuses on supporting investment strategies across global equity markets.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in equity research, strong valuation skills, CFA or higher designation preferred, and exceptional communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of equity and company research experience.
• Strong corporate valuation and financial statement analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead global equity research for multi-asset portfolios.
• Serve on Equity Committee, surface ideas and priorities.
• Oversee capital cycle and industry analyses for equity ideas.
• Author investment theses grounded in valuation and risks.
• Develop and maintain equity valuation frameworks with quant team.
• Mentor a team of equity analysts.
• Represent firm’s equity perspectives in forums and engagements.
