Job summary

Homegrown Companies is seeking an accounting professional to prepare financial statements and oversee farm vendor relations, AP processes, and budgeting within our farming division.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience with QuickBooks or similar software, and the ability to manage a team and ERP budget uploads. Experience with agricultural accounting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, QuickBooks and/or industry software such as Famous.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with growers and management.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or closely related field required; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with computers including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, QuickBooks and/or industry related software such as Famous.
• Organization; prioritizing time and tasks appropriately; ability to communicate with growers (clients) and management. Attention to detail and ability to follow through on all tasks/responsibilities.
• Soft Skills: Organization; prioritizing time and tasks appropriately; ability to communicate with growers (clients) and management. Attention to detail and ability to follow through on all tasks/responsibilities.
• Teamwork - Work as a member of the Farming Division accounting team to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy and operate within a culture that aligns with the company’s values, mission and vision
• Conflict Management – Follow AgriCare-defined best practices for addressing conflicts with other department team members, AgriCare management, vendors, clients and within the organization as a whole
• Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
• Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance to Employee Handbook Policies.
• Ability to meet all safety requirements and pass a drug and alcohol test (Safety Sensitive positions, only).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
