Job summary

Always Fresh grows and distributes agricultural products across Florida. The Grower Payable Specialist will support the grower accounting team, handling routine and non-routine tasks to ensure accurate supplier records and timely settlements.

The role requires organizing data, maintaining reports, and collaborating with sales, operations, logistics, and receiving teams. The candidate should have an Associate degree in accounting or finance and 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong Excel

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 2+ years of experience within the accounting field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of grower accounting operations and reporting.
• Prepare weekly grower pricing for assigned regions using reports and Excel.
• Set up new suppliers and subledgers in ERP.
• Review charges by lot and verify expenses are accounted for.
• Prepare settlements and advances for assigned regions.
• Research and verify activities for assigned region and maintain supplier records.

Job Title: GrowerPayableSpecialist

Position Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Grower AccountingManager, this position willbe responsible forperforming both routine and non-routine accounting functions for Always Fresh Farms.

Duties:

• Assistswith all aspects ofgroweraccounting operations and accounting reports andprojectsas necessary.
• Prepare weekly grower pricing for assigned regions using various reports and excel.
• Set up new suppliers and subledgers in ERP
• Review all charges by lot and verify all applicable expenses have been accounted for
• Prepare Settlements and Advances for assigned regions
• Responsible for researching and verifying all activities for assignedregion. Ensuring that everything is filed andmaintainedaccurately to ensure complete supplier records.
• Review and analyze Payment Reports and Remittance prior tosubmittingto supervisor
• Prepare and complete reports and projects as requested on an ad-hoc basis
• Provide input to ensuregroweraccounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greaterefficiencyand accuracy.
• Review ofGrower & SupplierDetail balances on a weekly basis
• Learning how to work as part of thegroweraccounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company orgrower and suppliers.
• Work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional departments including sales, operations,logistics,shippingand receiving.
• Ability to work proactively, prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively

Skills / Qualifications:

• Associate’sdegree in accounting or financepreferred
• 2+ years of experience within the accounting field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate to advancedknowledge of Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance, and ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; with responsive feedbackat all times
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
