Job summary

Always Fresh Farms is seeking a capable accounting professional to support grower accounting operations under the Grower Accounting Manager. The role involves routine and non-routine accounting duties, supplier setup in ERP, and ensuring accurate supplier records across regions.

You will prepare weekly grower pricing, review charges by lot, and assist with settlements, payments, and ad-hoc reporting, collaborating with sales, operations, logistics, shipping, and receiving to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 2+ years of experience within the accounting field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance, and ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; with responsive feedback at all times
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
• Fluent in Spanish a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assists with all aspects of grower accounting operations and accounting reports and projects as necessary
• Prepare weekly grower pricing for assigned regions using various reports and Excel
• Set up new suppliers and subledgers in ERP
• Review all charges by lot and verify all applicable expenses have been accounted for
• Prepare Settlements and Advances for assigned regions
• Responsible for researching and verifying all activities for assigned region; ensure accurate supplier records
• Review and analyze Payment Reports and Remittance prior to submitting to supervisor
• Prepare and complete reports and projects as requested on an ad-hoc basis
• Provide input to streamline grower accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy
• Review of Grower & Supplier Detail balances on a weekly basis
• Learn to work as part of the grower accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support growth of growers and suppliers
• Work effectively in cross-functional departments including sales, operations, logistics, shipping and receiving
• Ability to work proactively, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
