Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret group agreements and financial reports.
• Knowledge of medical insurance plans and rating methods.
• Proficient with group underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and analyze employer group rates using historical utilization and data.
• Prepare, audit rate renewals and filings with guidelines and templates.
• Answer complex underwriting questions from accounts and Marketing on rate renewals.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly billings for self-insured accounts.
• Support rate proposals for prospective accounts and client meetings.
• Maintain rating and reporting systems and assist with reinsurance audits.
