Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Senior Group Underwriter Consultant to determine acceptability of insurance risks and premiums for large group cases. This role requires deep knowledge of Fully Insured, Level Funded and ASO funding arrangements and senior technical underwriting expertise.

You will lead underwriting efforts, mentor associates, and collaborate with Sales and other departments to ensure accurate and consistent account reporting. Hybrid work with in-office days is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of related underwriting experience or equivalent.
• Preferred professional designations and insurance-specific courses.

Responsibilities

• Propose rates for prospective business using incumbent experience and data.
• Own all underwriting pieces of the RFP for large, complex opportunities.
• Drive escalations within authority limits and perform post-sale reviews.
