Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs Of Greater San Diego is seeking a Sr. Group Leader in San Diego, CA, to assist the Branch Manager with daily operations, supervise staff and volunteers, manage programs, recruit members, and maintain data.

The role emphasizes youth development, safety, and strong communication with families and partners. Responsibilities include planning and leading activities, ensuring health and safety guidelines, and stepping in as lead when the Site Supervisor is away.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a HS diploma or GED; some college experience.
• 1–3 years of experience working directly with school-aged youth.
• Ability to plan and implement quality youth programs.
• Ability to lead and guide groups of children in activities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to stand for at least five hours daily and carry out duties.
• Effective communication with youth, parents, staff, volunteers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily health and wellness checks for staff and members.
• Supervise staff and volunteers and manage program activities.
• Maintain attendance records and program data.
• Ensure safety protocols and equipment use are followed.
• Coordinate program services and youth activities to be engaging and instructional.
• Lead programs when the Site Supervisor is unavailable.
