Job summary

Typhoon Texas Austin, operated by Pyek Group, seeks a Group Sales Manager to lead Birthdays and Group Sales. You will drive group event sales, manage a dynamic team, and build lasting client relationships to deliver memorable guest experiences all summer long.

You will develop strategies, respond to RFPs, and collaborate with events, catering, and operations to ensure seamless execution of group events and signature experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years sales experience required.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales of Typhoon Texas Austin’s event center, group events, and birthday parties.
• Generate business while maintaining weekly sales goals through cold calls, site tours and outside visits.
• Provide proposals outlining client requirements, pricing, catering, and day-of-event logistics.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue from new and existing accounts.
• Attend corporate sales meetings and Senior Leadership Team meetings.
• Collaborate with Pyek’s sales team to support year-round events.
• Enforce department and venue policies to ensure consistency across operations.
• Document details for booked groups including guest counts, catering, and billing.
• Engage with chambers and community organizations to generate leads.
• Forecast and help plan staffing and events with HR and operations.
