Job summary

Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) is seeking a Senior Groundwater Modeler to support groundwater, mine permitting, hydrogeologic, environmental remediation, and water-resource projects across the Rocky Mountain region and western United States.

The role involves developing conceptual and numerical groundwater models, integrating field data, GIS data, and hydrogeologic information to deliver technically sound solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• A BS in geology, hydrogeology, geological engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
• MS or PhD in hydrogeology, geology, or geological engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of professional groundwater modeling experience with collaboration across teams.
• Certifications such as CHG, PG, or PE in applicable state are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expand groundwater modeling capabilities with the team and improve model construction and calibration processes.
• Prepare technical proposals and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Construct, calibrate, and run 3D groundwater flow and contaminant transport models using MODFLOW and related tools.
• Develop robust conceptual site models from diverse geologic and hydrologic data.
• Author technical reports and deliverables with clear communication to multidisciplinary teams.
