Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in San Angelo is seeking a Groundskeeper II to maintain campus grounds, mulch, weed, and manage landscape features. The role includes operating power equipment, performing minor repairs, and supporting on-call duties as needed at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center in Carlsbad.

Ideal candidates have groundskeeping experience, a valid Texas driver’s license, and a willingness to work weekends or after-hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping work.
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Basic knowledge of horticulture and ability to use tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed, fertilize, and maintain flower beds.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Respond to after-hours calls and work weekends as needed.
• Assist in disaster response and COOP activation as required.
