Health & Human Services Comm in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Groundskeeper I to maintain the Rio Grande State Supported Living Center grounds, including mowing, trimming, and planting, while supporting residents and staff. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a facility serving people with disabilities.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating lawn tools, reading and applying policies, and coordinating with Environmental Home staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or work experience.
• Ability to read, understand and apply guidelines, regulations and policies.
• Knowledge of lawn, garden and basic maintenance tools.

Responsabilités

• Mow, trim, fertilize, and maintain the facility grounds.
• Inspect and mentor Environmental Home staff operations.
• Train staff on proper techniques and safety procedures.
• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and small construction tasks.
• Be available for overtime and alternate shift patterns as needed.
