Job summary

Planet is hiring a Service Delivery Manager in San Francisco to lead end-to-end delivery of a geographically diverse Ground Station network. You’ll coordinate with Operators, Mission Control, and Legal to ensure operational excellence and on-time execution.

We expect at least 6+ years in Technical Program/Construction Management, scripting skills, and ability to travel up to 25%. This hybrid role requires three days in the SF office and close collaboration with leadership and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Technical Program Management or Construction Management experience.
• Excellent organizational management and prioritization.
• Basic scripting and data analysis skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery and implementation of complex ground systems for global customers.
• Lead deployment and readiness of Planet’s commercial ground station network.
• Coordinate construction and infrastructure projects with external hosting providers.
• Manage the contract lifecycle with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Forecast and manage annual operations budget with leadership.
• Provide updates on milestones to technical leads and executives.
• Facilitate sprint planning and align velocity with objectives.
