Blue Origin is hiring a Ground Software Engineer to design, implement, test, verify, and deploy mission operations software for the Ground System used on‑orbit and ground support. You will work with flight vehicle, mission control, and operations teams to define requirements and architectures, develop rapid prototypes, and ensure safety‑critical standards are met.

Responsibilities include documentation, verification planning, and supporting pre‑flight testing, mission validation, and operator

Competenze

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience across full software lifecycle: design, analysis, implementation, verification and release.
• Familiarity with Linux environment and basic Unix admin activities.
• Experience with build automation, CI, configuration management, verification and deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to work across teams and build trust.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, test, verify and deploy mission operations software systems for Blue Origin ground systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑discipline teams to define software requirements, architectures and designs.
• Develop prototypes to prove concepts and quantify risk.
• Produce user and training documentation for software architecture and verification.
• Match software processes to safety and reliability standards and support pre‑flight testing and training.
