Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Software or Engineering.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proven software development in Python and/or Rust.
• Willingness to work with frontend developers and React-based frameworks.
• Experience in full lifecycle software engineering.
• Experience in scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with Linux.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 5+ years of proven ability in developing software supporting critical systems.
• Experience crafting software for aerospace operations.
• Familiar with infrastructure-as-code, services-as-code, and cloud technologies.
• Understanding of space-based communications protocols like CCSDS.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices.
• Compliance experience with NPR 7150.2x.
• Fault-tolerant software design and human-error considerations.
• Experience with spacecraft subsystems software.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, verify and deploy mission operations software systems for ground operations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements and designs.
• Develop rapid prototypes to prove concepts and quantify risks.
• Plan, develop and lead system verification and qualification activities.
• Produce documentation for architecture, design, verification plans and training material.
• Follow software development processes to ensure safety and reliability.
